Berkeley SkyDeck recently signed up as one of Hopeful’s latest customers. As one of the top global accelerators in the U.S., Berkeley SkyDeck is the home to almost 300 startups a year, many of which are founded by UC Berkeley students, faculty or alumni. As SkyDeck itself is funded through corporate partnerships and philanthropic donors, they plan to use Hopeful to better track and build on their foundation of social media to bring in more dollars.

Back in October 2020, Hopeful joined SkyDeck’s Cohort program, which has a competitive acceptance rate of 1%.

Joining the program has dove-tailed nicely with Hopeful’s growth and helped boost our data science and machine learning capabilities. Berkeley SkyDeck’s decision to trust Hopeful’s analytics comes as a big win for us and a huge opportunity for a Social FundTech startup to showcase technological breakthroughs. As we accelerate our growth by launching Storytelling AI into an already super-intuitive interface, there is no time better for this partnership to flourish.

Sibyl Chen, SkyDeck’s Senior Director, said, “In past years we have used our social media platforms to drive donations around specific days like Big Give. This year, we were able to use Hopeful’s technology to see how our social media campaigns were tracking and use their Storytelling AI tool to help improve the overall result of our donor campaign.”

Our hard work to help nonprofits harness the power of artificial intelligence to create actionable and measurable impact has paid off through partnerships such as Berkeley. Through continuous product development, we look forward to announcing further exciting collaborations in the coming months.
